This role is responsible for performing battery changes, maintenance, and general upkeep for all material handling equipment across the site. The position requires someone who can work independently, support overtime and shift cover needs, and ensure all assigned tasks are completed efficiently while reporting any issues to the on-site team.
The Role Also Involves:
- Maintaining equipment, battery change areas, and issued PPE
- Supporting team discussions and participating in training
- Assisting in battery change operations when needed
- Representing Linde professionally with a positive, proactive attitude
- Strictly following health, safety, and compliance standards, including customer site rules and the KION Code of Compliance
The Main Duties Of This Role Include:
- To carry out battery change procedures on all material handling equipment across the site
- Carry out battery maintenance and general upkeep of equipment and areas
- Assist with customers' overtime requests
- Have flexibility in shift patterns to provide cover for absence
- Work under own initiative without constant supervision
- Be responsible for all equipment and PPE issued
- Ensure all allocated work is adhered to and to notify on-site team of any issues
- Participate and contribute to team discussions as required
- Participate in all training provided and help support the battery change areas when requested
- Be an ambassador for Linde on site and have a positive ‘can-do’ approach
- Comply with all Health and Safety rules and regulations within the Linde Group and on customer and supplier sites, together with observance of the KION Code of Compliance
