Are you seeking your next career opportunity as a Field Service Engineer? At Linde Material Handling, a global leader in forklift trucks and warehouse equipment, we are looking for skilled Field Service Engineers to join our team in Grimsby and surrounding areas of Immingham and Lincoln. We are interested in candidates with experience as vehicle technicians or mechanical engineers, particularly those who have worked as forklift technicians, plant fitters, plant technicians, or vehicle technicians. Experience with plant equipment, powered access equipment, agricultural machinery, motor vehicles, or industrial cleaners is highly desirable.

In this role, you will engage in a variety of tasks, working with our full range of products, from small pallet trucks to Counterbalance trucks, Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) trucks, and automated trucks. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing and rectifying faults, performing preventative maintenance, and servicing Linde forklifts and other material handling equipment at customer sites.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and rectify faults on Linde forklifts and other material handling equipment at customer sites.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and servicing across the full product range, from small pallet trucks to automated trucks.
  • Engage with customers to ensure effective issue resolution and service delivery.
  • Utilise provided tooling and IT systems to document work and order parts as needed.
Qualifications
  • Experience as a vehicle technician or mechanical/electrical/hydraulics engineer; forklift experience is desirable.
  • Ideally NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent), although not essential.
  • Comfort using IT equipment to record work and place orders.
  • Full UK driving licence (Field and Resident Engineers only).
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

We seek candidates with experience in plant equipment, powered access equipment, agricultural machinery, motor vehicles, or industrial cleaners.

What does the package include?
  • Competitive salary scale dependent on experience.
  • Option for either a 40-hour or 45-hour working week – Monday to Friday.
  • Shift premium and overtime opportunities with time-and-a-half on certain shifts, including some bank holidays.
  • Double time on Sundays and some Bank Holidays.
  • 25 days annual leave plus statutory bank holidays; additional days based on long service milestones.
  • Company pension scheme – 6% employer contribution; minimum 4% employee contribution.

  • All specialist tooling provided; access to company vehicle for private use in selected roles.
