Field Service Engineer – Chesterfield (S42,S43,S44 S45). Linde Material Handling, a global leader in forklift trucks and warehouse equipment, is looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team in the Chesterfield patch area.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, rectify faults and perform preventative maintenance on Linde forklifts and other material handling equipment at customer sites.
  • Service Linde forklifts and a full range of products from small pallet trucks to counterbalance trucks, Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) trucks and automated trucks.
  • Maintain accurate records, place orders, and utilise IT systems to support service delivery.
  • Work autonomously and as part of a team to meet customer requirements and maintain high quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Mechanical, electrical or hydraulic engineering background; experience as a vehicle or forklift technician, plant fitter or plant technician is desirable.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (preferred but not essential).
  • Full UK driving licence – required for Field and Resident Engineers.
  • Comfortable using IT systems and maintaining accurate service records.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and commitment to customer service excellence.
