At Linde Material Handling, a global leader in forklift trucks and warehouse equipment, we are looking for skilled Field Service Engineers to join our team in Basingstoke covering RG & GU postcodes. We are interested in candidates with experience as vehicle technicians or mechanical engineers, particularly those who have worked as forklift technicians, plant fitters, plant technicians, or vehicle technicians. Experience with plant equipment, powered access equipment, agricultural machinery, motor vehicles, or industrial cleaners is highly desirable.
In the role of a Field Service Engineer, you will engage in a variety of tasks, working with our full range of products, from small pallet trucks to Counterbalance trucks, Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) trucks, and automated trucks.
Responsibilities:- Diagnosing and rectifying faults, performing preventative maintenance, and servicing Linde forklifts and other material handling equipment at customer sites.
- Travel to various customer locations and engage with customers to provide expert service and support.
- A competitive salary scale dependent on your experience.
- Option for either a 40-hour or 45-hour working week – Monday to Friday.
- 25 days annual leave + statutory bank holidays.
- Company pension scheme - 6% employer contribution; minimum 4% employee contribution.

- Experience as vehicle technicians or mechanical engineers, with forklift experience as forklift technicians, plant fitters, plant technicians, or vehicle technicians; experience with plant equipment, powered access equipment, agricultural machinery, motor vehicles, or industrial cleaners is desirable.
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) preferred, but not essential.
- Comfort using IT equipment for records and ordering.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Based in Basingstoke with coverage for RG & GU postcodes; travel to customer sites as required.
