The predicted salary is between 28800 - 48000 £ per year.

In this role, you will be setting the operational plan, working closely with the Operations and Engineering teams and ensuring the plan is delivered in order to meet business objectives. You will be responsible for driving operational effectiveness, setting production schedules which optimise the use of resources, minimise downtime and maximise throughput.

Being the key point of contact for customers, ensuring prompt and effective communication both internally and externally is part of your role. You will be liaising with customers to update delivery status and review future forecasts in order to build long range operational plans, reviewing capacity and capability, this includes identifying any gap against business plans.

Additionally, you will take ownership of all production orders released into the business, ensuring a thorough understanding of order status, lead-time and priority. You must be prepared to challenge colleagues and remove barriers to plan delivery. Verifying job package paperwork, checking process documents for accuracy and working with production staff/manager to resolve any discrepancies will be part of your role. You will be ensuring the accuracy of data input to the Oracle system at all times.

Further, you will support investigations into customer queries/complaints and support account team to manage customer accounts.

  • You will have previous proven experience working in an Operations role, including customer account management and operational planning, ideally in a regulated industrial environment.
  • You will be analytical, with a keen eye for detail, the ability to rigorously follow procedures and be accurate and methodical.
  • You will have excellent communication skills, particularly over the telephone, with the ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Excellent IT skills are essential, including data manipulation and analysis.
  • Previous experience with business systems such as Oracle would be a distinct advantage.
  • You will possess strong negotiation skills with the ability to be calm under pressure.
