As we continue to scale, we’re looking for a React Native Architect to play a key role in shaping and evolving our mobile platform.
This is not just a feature-delivery role — this is a high-impact engineering position where you will own critical parts of our mobile architecture, solve complex performance and scalability challenges, and help define how we build mobile applications at Mr Q.
What You Will Do
- Own and drive the architecture, design, and development of our cross-platform mobile applications (i OS & Android) using React Native.
- Take responsibility for key areas of the mobile platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
- Work closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver complex user journeys (e. g. wallets, bonuses, onboarding, KYC flows).
- Optimise application performance, responsiveness, and stability across a wide range of devices.
- Build and maintain robust integrations with backend systems and third-party services.
- Lead technical decision-making, balancing speed of delivery with long-term quality and scalability.
- Contribute to and evolve mobile architecture, patterns, and best practices across the team.
- Mentor and support other engineers, raising the overall technical bar.
- Improve development processes, testing strategies, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Debug and resolve complex production issues, including performance bottlenecks and race conditions.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of professional mobile development experience, with strong expertise in React Native in production environments.
- Proven experience building and scaling complex mobile applications with high user engagement.
- Strong proficiency in Java Script (ES6+) and Type Script.
- Deep understanding of mobile architecture, performance optimisation, and debugging.
- Experience working with native modules (Swift, Objective-C, Java, Kotlin) and bridging when needed.
- Strong experience integrating RESTful APIs, SDKs, and third-party services.
- Experience with state management solutions (Redux, Mob X, Recoil, or similar) at scale.
- Experience deploying and maintaining apps on the App Store and Google Play.
- Solid understanding of mobile UI/UX principles and building responsive, high-quality user interfaces.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and release processes for mobile applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to operate independently in a fast-moving environment.
- Proven ability to mentor engineers and contribute to team growth.
- Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to influence technical decisions.
