Overview

Summer Positions: Teaching/Tutoring – London. Temporary, on-site educational roles at the Lindamood-Bell Learning Centre. No prior teaching experience required; paid training provided. This is an in-person role and not eligible for remote work.

What You’ll Do as a Summer Educational Clinician / Tutor:

  • Provide one-to-one and small-group instruction to in-person and online students of various ages.
  • Record notes about student performance while delivering engaging, structured lesson plans under the direction of Learning Centre leadership.
  • Implement positive reinforcement strategies that maximise learning.
  • Facilitate the use of the curriculum provided for Lindamood-Bell Academy students.
  • Communicate positively and professionally with clients and staff to provide a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Manage client records, both handwritten and electronic.

Position & Schedule Details:

Educational Clinician / Tutor work is performed on-site at the Lindamood-Bell® Learning Centre in London, UK. Available positions are fixed term, beginning in June. Monday through Friday availability is required. Learning Centre hours of operation: 9:00 AM through 6:00 PM. Scheduling changes may be made based on the needs of the Learning Centre. Paid training generally occurs Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day, for two weeks. Post-training hours will be set according to your employment contract. Internship credits may be available.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, early childhood education certificate, or currently enrolled in a degree program (students welcome).
  • Passion for helping others succeed academically.
  • Ability to connect and engage with students of all ages while showcasing effective task-management capabilities in each instructional session.
  • Strong reading, spelling, and comprehension skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

The following experience is beneficial, but not required for consideration of the role:

  • Tutoring, teaching, or classroom experience.
  • Background in education, child development, or literacy.
  • Experience working with children or students.

Compensation:

The hourly rate for this position is £18.
