The role
In this varied position, you’ll provide a high standard of administrative support across the Company, primarily supporting HR, payroll and Health & Safety. You’ll work with colleagues at all levels of the business, building positive relationships and helping to ensure our day-to-day processes run smoothly and efficiently.
A key part of your role will be supporting the monthly payroll for approximately 300 employees, collating and accurately inputting information and liaising with our external payroll provider. You’ll also support a range of employee administration, including holiday records, long service awards, employee documentation and training coordination.
You’ll be responsible for coordinating a variety of activities across the business, including Company travel arrangements, meetings and training sessions, alongside supporting the administration of Company vehicles, fuel cards, driver checks, PCNs, insurance and associated records.
You’ll also play an important role in maintaining our internal systems and records, including keeping our Company intranet, Flow, up to date and ensuring Payroll, employee, training and Health & Safety information is accurately recorded.
As part of your Health & Safety responsibilities, you’ll support the administration of risk assessments, training records, First Aid and Fork Lift Truck certification, accident and incident records, helping to ensure information remains accurate, compliant and up to date.
This is a varied role where organisation, accuracy, confidentiality and strong communication skills are key. With training and support, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your knowledge and experience across HR, payroll, Health & Safety and wider business administration.
Who you are
You have previous payroll and administration experience, with confidence using payroll systems, interpreting timesheets and processing information accurately.
You’re organised and proactive, comfortable chasing managers for information, coordinating training, travel and employee administration, and keeping systems and records up to date. You communicate confidently with people at all levels and understand the importance of accuracy, deadlines and confidentiality.

What you bring
- Previous payroll and administration experience
- Experience using payroll systems, interpreting timesheets and processing accurate payroll information
- Strong Microsoft Office and systems skills, with confidence learning new platforms
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- A proactive and confident approach, including chasing line managers for outstanding information when required
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, managers and external providers
- Experience supporting HR, training, Health & Safety or general business administration would be advantageous
- A professional approach with an understanding of confidentiality when handling employee and Company information
