Hours: Monday – Thursday, 7:30am – 4:30pm, with 30 minutes unpaid lunch. Friday 7:30am – 1:30pm.
We’re looking for a reliable and hands-on individual to join our team as a Production Operative. This is a varied role that combines operating sheet metal machinery with supporting general warehouse duties. Ideal for someone who is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and keen to develop their skills in a manufacturing environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Operate and Maintain Sheet Metal Machinery: Set up, monitor, and maintain sheet metal equipment to ensure safe, efficient production of high-quality duct fittings.
- Ensure Product Quality: Inspect products for defects and report any quality issues promptly to the team leader.
- Support Warehouse Operations: Assist with picking, packing, and loading of goods to support production and dispatch activities when required.
- Maintain Clean and Safe Work Environment: Keep machinery and surrounding areas clean while complying with all health and safety regulations and protocols.
Requirements:
- Sheet Metal and Production Experience: Proven background working in a sheet metal or manufacturing environment.
- Forklift Truck (FLT) Licence: Valid FLT licence (or willingness to obtain one) to operate material handling equipment safely.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when working with machinery and during quality checks.
- Basic Record-Keeping Skills: Ability to maintain clear and accurate production and material records.
