Reports to: Regional Sales Manager
Hours: Monday – Thursday, 8am – 5pm and Friday 8am – 4pm with 1 hour for lunch
We're looking for a results-driven and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Business Development Manager, responsible for managing and growing sales within a defined region and customer base. You’ll play a key role in driving business development, strengthening client relationships, and promoting Lindab’s full range of ventilation products. Key responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain regional sales: Manage and grow sales across your allocated postcode regions, achieving agreed targets through proactive business development and account management.
- Identify and act on new opportunities: Actively seek and develop opportunities to sell Lindab’s complete product range, including preparing tailored quotations and bills of quantities.
- Manage customer accounts and relationships: Serve as the key point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing customers to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
- Utilise sales tools effectively: Use Vecta to plan visits, log customer interactions, track opportunities, and keep account data up to date, including contact details and email addresses.
- Market and competitor insight: Monitor and report on customer trends and competitor activity in your area, sharing insights with your line manager to support strategic planning.
- Sales reporting and presentations: Attend sales meetings, and prepare and deliver reports or presentations on sales activities as directed by your Regional Sales Manager.
- Support product development: Share feedback and market intelligence with internal teams to help shape future product offerings.
- Maintain professionalism and compliance: Represent Lindab positively, follow all company policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in field sales or business development: You’ll need a track record of achieving targets in a customer-facing role, ideally within the construction or ventilation sector.
- Strong commercial awareness: Capable of identifying opportunities and closing deals, while managing customer relationships with professionalism.
- Technical aptitude: Able to understand and explain product details and specifications confidently; willingness to attend technical training as needed.
- Organised and self-motivated: Excellent time management skills are essential for planning sales calls, managing your territory efficiently, and updating sales data.
- Effective communicator: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- IT literate: Comfortable using CRM systems (such as Vecta), MS Office, and email communications to manage and report on sales activity.
