This is an exciting opportunity for a designer who combines creative vision with technical expertise and has a passion for developing innovative luxury products.

The Role

You will be responsible for taking concepts from idea through to production, creating technically robust, commercially successful sunglasses and optical collections. You will work collaboratively across Design, Product Development and Production to ensure every product reflects Linda Farrow's commitment to innovation, quality and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop luxury sunglasses and optical collections for Linda Farrow and licensed brands.
  • Produce detailed technical drawings, CAD files, 3D models and manufacturing specifications.
  • Develop seasonal mood boards, trend research, material stories and concept presentations.
  • Create innovative solutions in materials, construction, functionality and product engineering.
  • Research and introduce new manufacturing techniques, finishes and sustainable materials.
  • Design premium packaging, eyewear cases, accessories and point-of-sale materials that support the overall brand experience.
  • Work closely with the Head of Design, Creative Team, Product Development and international manufacturing partners throughout the development process.
  • Review prototypes and samples, ensuring design intent, fit, quality and functionality are maintained through to production.

About You

  • Degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Accessories Design, Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in technical product design within luxury eyewear or another premium product category.
  • We welcome candidates from adjacent industries—including luxury accessories, watches, jewellery, furniture, consumer electronics or industrial design—who can bring fresh thinking, innovative approaches and technical expertise to luxury eyewear.
  • Strong understanding of product development, engineering, materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent knowledge of premium materials including acetate, titanium, stainless steel and advanced composites.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign).
  • Strong 3D CAD modelling and visualisation skills using software such as Rhino, SolidWorks, KeyShot or equivalent.
  • Ability to produce production-ready technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and presentation skills.
  • Passion for innovation, craftsmanship and luxury product design.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a curious, forward-thinking designer who enjoys challenging convention and exploring new ideas. You'll combine creative flair with technical precision, bringing fresh perspectives, material innovation and exceptional product development skills to one of the world's leading luxury eyewear brands. If you're passionate about creating beautifully engineered products that push the boundaries of luxury design, we'd love to hear from you.
