The Fox in the Box Café, located within the popularBradley Football Development Centre, is seeking an enthusiastic and reliableFront of House & Café Assistantto join our team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in hospitality, catering, retail, or customer service who enjoys interacting with people and helping create memorable experiences for customers.
Please note: This role includes the sale and service of alcohol. To comply with licensing requirements, applicants must be aged 18 years or over.
What You'll Be Doing
As part of our welcoming café team, you'll play a key role in delivering excellent service to customers and supporting a variety of events and activities.
Your duties will include:
Providing a warm and professional front-of-house service, welcoming customers and visitors.
Supporting catering and hospitality provision for a range of events, including:
- Corporate meetings
- Children's parties
- Family celebrations
- Presentations and awards events
- Sports and leisure activities
Serving food and beverages, including occasional waiter/waitress service.
Operating tills and card payment systems, handling cash accurately, and balancing accounts.
Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and customer care.
Ensuring compliance with bar licensing regulations and food safety procedures while helping to minimise waste.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is:
Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused.
Experienced in catering, hospitality, retail, front-of-house, or bar environments.
Confident handling cash, card payments, and till systems.
Able to work as part of a team while also using their own initiative.
Organised, reliable, and committed to delivering excellent service.
Flexibility Required
As a busy venue operating7 days a week, 52 weeks a year, flexibility is essential. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including:
- Evenings
- Weekends
- Bank Holidays
