About the role
Our Post Offices offer a range of valued services to their local communities. Our Sorting Office Supervisors play a key role in ensuring that any mail received gets to where it needs to be. Working as part of a close-knit and hard‑working team, sorting and maintaining the accuracy of any mail so that it is ready to be delivered correctly to the residents of your local community. You’ll also complete any associated paperwork and administration in an accurate and efficient manner to keep records up to date. In this role you will carry out tasks which may include overseeing the sorting and delivery of all Royal Mail post received at the office whilst complying with society policies and procedures. You will be maintaining effective connections by communicating with colleagues and stakeholders. Please be aware that this role will involve periods of independent working, so you'll need to be comfortable working on your own initiative. As our sorting office is open 6 days a week, there will be a requirement to work 2 hours each morning from Monday to Saturday. We require all colleagues working within our Post Office trading area to complete a P250 check before starting with the Society.
