About the role

Help tell the stories behind the Society. Every day something worth talking about happens at Lincolnshire Co‑op. A colleague goes above and beyond for a customer. A team member realises their potential. A new initiative launches that helps make life better for our communities. The challenge isn’t finding those stories; it’s making sure our people hear them. We're looking for an Internal Communications Co‑ordinator to bring our communications to life across the Society. Working alongside our Internal Communications Manager and wider Communications team, you’ll create engaging content and help colleagues stay informed, connected and involved in what’s happening across the business.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys writing, creating varied content and building relationships. Whether you’re interviewing colleagues, capturing photography and video or supporting events, you’ll play an important role in helping colleagues understand the impact they have every day. More than creating content, you’ll write articles, make videos, capture stories and deliver campaigns across our internal channels that support colleague engagement and bring our purpose to life. You'll help colleagues understand organisational priorities, celebrate achievements and stay connected to the wider Society. You’ll also help monitor and develop our internal communication channels, analyse engagement data, support colleague engagement activity and events, and identify new opportunities to improve how we communicate with colleagues.

About You

This role suits someone with experience in communications, marketing, journalism or public relations who is looking to develop their career in a varied and fast-paced environment. You’re naturally curious, highly organised and confident communicating with people from all walks of life. You enjoy asking questions, uncovering stories and finding creative ways to engage different audiences. You’re also comfortable managing multiple priorities and adapting quickly when plans change. Experience creating content is important, whether that’s writing articles, interviewing colleagues, producing social media content, capturing photography and creating videos. If you enjoy telling stories and bringing ideas to life, you’ll feel right at home here.

What you’ll get in return

  • 30 days annual leave (pro rata), including bank holidays.
  • A pension scheme with up to 12% employer contributions.
  • Generous colleague discounts across our family of businesses.
  • Our annual discretionary bonus.
  • Access to a wide range of professional development opportunities.
  • Flexible and hybrid working opportunities where business needs allow.
  • Wellbeing support, colleague networks and community engagement opportunities.
  • The opportunity to work alongside experienced communications professionals and develop your skills across a broad range of communication channels and activities.

Interview schedule

Telephone interviews will take place from Thursday 16th July. If successful from both, an in‑person interview will take place on Friday 24th July. There will be a pre‑interview task which must be completed and submitted by Thursday 23rd July.
