As a Relief Pharmacy Services Assistant, you will join an enthusiastic and hardworking team of colleagues who work together to make a positive difference to the lives of their patients. You will have the opportunity to work across a number of pharmacies within our business area, including but not limited to Boston, Holbeach, Horncastle, Louth, and Ruskington, supporting service continuity across our sites.

From working on the counter to keeping shelves stocked and ready for customers, there is a wide range of duties you will be involved in, such as:

  • Delivering exceptional customer service, providing health advice and services to patients through engaging conversations.
  • Ensuring that every customer leaves the pharmacy feeling informed and confident about their healthcare needs.
  • Keeping the shop floor fully stocked and ready for customers through receiving and processing deliveries and completing stock takes.
  • Delivering technical aspects of the dispensary, supporting the safe supply of medicines. This may include ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, and supporting the collection of prescriptions.
  • Assisting with sales and general store duties, including creating product displays and processing cash transactions.

  • A methodical and accurate approach to practical tasks, using your own initiative and teamwork skills to aid you.
  • Experience of working in a retail background and using a stock control system would be desirable but not essential as full training is provided.
  • As some travel will be required within this role, you will need access to a vehicle for business use and hold a full UK driving licence.

To be considered for this role, you must hold a Level 2 qualification in Pharmacy Assistant and/or Dispensing. Applications that do not meet this essential requirement will not be progressed.
