Lincolnshire Police is seeking a dedicated Case Investigator to join our Professional Standards Department, where your work will directly contribute to maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct across the Force.

As a Case Officer within the Professional Standards Department, you will play a vital role in supporting the Investigators within Professional Standards. You will assist in proportionate investigations into public complaints, and matters involving death or serious injury that require referral to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).

  • Assessing and resolving public complaints at the earliest opportunity.
  • Preparing detailed reports for the Appropriate Authority and the IOPC.
  • Conducting research across police systems to inform decision-making.
  • Acting as a single point of contact for persistent complainants.
  • Advising officers on procedural aspects of complaints and misconduct.
  • Supporting the administration of misconduct meetings and hearings.
  • Contributing to lessons learned and internal/external publications.
