We are seeking a proactive and experienced Audit Lead to oversee a small team delivering a strategic programme of audits across Force systems. This role ensures compliance with national standards, internal policies, and relevant legislation, while supporting robust governance and risk management across the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Developing and leading a planned audit programme across computer applications and other information systems.
- Delivering compliance audits to assess adherence to policies, processes and procedures at all levels.
- Reporting and presenting audit findings clearly and constructively, highlighting both strengths and areas for improvement.
- Working closely with stakeholders to gather evidence, understand findings, and support effective remedial action.
- Managing policy and risk processes, including maintaining the Force's confidential risk register.
- Contributing to the ongoing review and development of audit, risk and assurance practices.
- Providing expert advice and guidance relating to audits and compliance matters.
- Promoting positive engagement with the audit and compliance function across the workforce.
