Lincolnshire Partnership Foundation NHS Trust (LPFT) is a Talking Therapies service. The opportunity has arisen for Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners based across the county. The Service provides evidence-based interventions within a stepped care model, for the treatment of people with mild to moderate common mental health problems.
We are looking for motivated individuals who are qualified as Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners, holding the IAPT Low Intensity training course certificate in psychological therapies, and Registered with the BABCP or BPS.
Main duties of the job
The Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide assessment and treatment of common mental health problems based on the NICE guidance. These include computerised cognitive behavioural therapy, psycho-educational groups, and guided self-help; the majority of interventions will be based on a cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) approach.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
Please note the following requirements:
- Post Graduate Certificate in low intervention Psychological Therapies
- Training in nursing, social work, occupational therapy, counselling, or within a psychological therapy
- Psychology or other health-related undergraduate degree
- Psychology or other health-related postgraduate degree
- Evidence of working with people who have experienced a mental health problem
- Able to develop good therapeutic relationships with clients
