We are seeking an ambitious, motivated, and committed GP to join our well-established and highly regarded team at Willingham Surgery. We take great pride in providing the highest standards of patient care and are fortunate to serve a supportive and appreciative patient community. Our list size of approximately 4,900 patients allows us to maintain continuity, develop strong relationships, and uphold our excellent local reputation, consistently reflected in our outstanding patient satisfaction scores.

We are a close-knit team, considered an integral part of the local community, working together to deliver safe and sustainable care in a supportive and collaborative environment. We are fully aligned with the BMA model contract, and we place a strong emphasis on safe working conditions:

  • Clinical days capped at 24 appointments
  • CPD time reflected in an exceptionally generous annual leave entitlement

We operate an on-call system using AskMyGP as our primary means of triage. This enables efficient patient access and supports safe workload management. Familiarity with AskMyGP is not essential, as full training will be provided.

We are an active member of our local Primary Care Network and provide undergraduate teaching to medical students from Nottingham and Lincoln Universities. A strong preference for someone interested in medical education. A key ambition for the practice is to expand our GP registrar training role, and we are therefore particularly keen to hear from candidates with an interest in education and training. The successful candidate will be supported to gain Clinical Supervisor accreditation, with mentorship and guidance provided.

Willingham offers an idyllic rural setting between Lincoln and Gainsborough, with easy access to the Lincolnshire Wolds and excellent links to surrounding towns. It is a location ideally suited to family life and a healthy work–life balance.

This post provides:

  • Excellent working conditions in line with the BMA model contract
  • A practice culture that values both high-quality care and staff wellbeing
  • Genuine opportunities for professional development and progression
  • 8 weeks annual/study leave
  • Friendly supportive team

We are keen to hear from enthusiastic and forward-thinking GPs and are willing to wait for the right candidate to join our team.
