We’re looking for a Fleet Officer to help keep our 150-vehicle fleet safe, compliant, and ready to support essential services across Lincolnshire. As our Fleet Officer, you'll oversee vehicle performance, compliance, maintenance, and safety, working closely with colleagues, suppliers, and operational teams to keep our fleet running efficiently.

At Lincolnshire Housing Partnership (LHP), we believe everyone deserves a safe, secure, and supportive place to call home. Providing safe, high-quality, and well-maintained homes across Lincolnshire is one of our core priorities. In this role, you will be part of our Operational Support team, helping to improve the responsiveness and efficiency of our Repairs Service.

Your work will support our operatives as they travel across Lincolnshire, ensuring our customers' homes remain safe, well-maintained, and a place they are proud to call home. We’re more than a housing provider — we’re a purpose-driven team that cares deeply about our customers, our communities, and each other.

Alongside a salary of £39,970 you’ll enjoy a fantastic range of benefits:

  • An employee wellbeing package worth up to £1,200 per year (Westfield Health)
  • Enhanced family leave and maternity policies
  • A brilliant salary sacrifices pension scheme — with up to 12% employer contribution
  • 32 days’ holiday (including bank holidays), increasing annually for your first five years
  • Opportunities to earn extra leave for full attendance, plus buy/sell options
  • Access to Mental Health First Aiders across the business

You’ll also join a positive team culture where your development is a priority and your ideas are valued.

You’ll have the autonomy to manage your own diary and the flexibility to work from locations that best support the delivery of the projects you are working on. This could be at our main offices in Grimsby or Boston, our various community hubs, at home, local coffee shops, or wherever works best for you.

As part of this role, you will be expected to carry out vehicle inspections, hand over new vans, and meet with suppliers and contractors in person.

The most important thing we look for is your behaviour and attitude. We want someone who:

  • Builds trust through openness and accountability
  • Treats every customer with dignity and respect
  • Works collaboratively with colleagues and partners
  • Shows genuine empathy and understands different perspectives

It would be great if you also bring:

  • Experience in fleet management, fleet administration, or vehicle coordination
  • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, fleet compliance, and road safety requirements
  • Experience handling vehicle incidents, insurance claims, or compliance-related activities
  • A passion for data with the ability to produce clear, meaningful reports which improve our service
  • Strong organisational, planning, and administrative skills
  • Experience managing suppliers, contractors, and service providers
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive stakeholder relationships
  • The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • A full UK Driving License
  • Qualification in Fleet Management or a related discipline
  • Experience within housing, construction, property maintenance or a related sector
  • Experience of using telematics and fleet management systems
  • Experience supporting health and safety initiatives or investigations
  • Understanding of fleet sustainability initiatives and vehicle electrification

As a Fleet Officer, your week will be varied, people-focused, and full of opportunities to make a real difference:

  • Carrying out vehicle inspections, conducting Fleet inductions and coordinating the handover of new vans to colleagues
  • Monitoring upcoming MOTs, servicing schedules and repairs to ensure vehicles remain safe, compliant and roadworthy
  • Investigating vehicle incidents and insurance claims, working with drivers, suppliers and insurers to bring matters to a resolution
  • Reviewing telematics data and driver behaviour reports, identifying trends and supporting safe driving practices across the organisation
  • Liaising with dealerships, leasing companies, repair providers and other suppliers to ensure vehicles are available when needed and downtime is kept to a minimum
  • Maintaining accurate fleet records, including servicing, inspections, fuel usage, insurance documentation and driver information
  • Producing reports and analysing fleet performance data to identify risks, opportunities and areas for improvement
  • Visiting operational locations across Lincolnshire, particularly in the Grimsby and Boston areas, to support colleagues, promote fleet standards and build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Contributing to compliance audits, procurement activities and continuous improvement initiatives that help deliver an efficient and cost-effective fleet service
