We\’re currently looking for a Multiskilled Trades person to join our Major Works team.

Our Major Works team is a close-knit group dedicated to improving the quality of our customers\’ homes by tackling damp, mould, and condensation. We\’re looking for a skilled trades person with strong plastering experience , plus basic plumbing and joinery skills , to help us continue delivering safe, comfortable living spaces.

Location: Grimsby, with frequent travel to Boston areas

Salary: £32,907.34

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week

What will a typical week look like as a multi-skilled plasterer?

Working at LHP offers variety, challenge and the chance to make a real difference – but it\’s not always easy, you\’ll have a fantastic team around you as support and to celebrate your team success.

A typical week could be as follows:

  • You\’ll start the day by being responsible for maintaining your van stock and ensure you have the right tools and equipment to work safely, always putting the customer first.
  • You\’ll carry out plastering work— All elements of plastering and dry lining, including preparation.
  • You\’ll tackle mould-related issues by washing affected areas and applying anti-mould paint to walls and ceilings.
  • You\’ll reseal windows and doors, top up loft insulation, and complete basic tasks across multiple trades including plumbing, joinery, bricklaying, and roofing.
  • You\’ll learn about the technical causes of damp and mould and how to treat them effectively.
  • Communication is key—you\’ll regularly update planners, team leaders, and colleagues using our housing management system, ensuring accurate records and keeping customers informed.
    You\’ll be part of our Out of Hours call-out rota for emergency repairs

What Skills and Experience will you need?

  • Strong experience in Plastering is essential
  • Basic plumbing & joinery experience is highly desirable
  • A minimum of 2 years\’ experience in the repairs of domestic properties
  • An awareness of health and safety considerations within a domestic property (i.e. Asbestos, working around customers, working at heights & electrics)
  • The ability to use PDA/iPad and other electronic communication devices
  • The ability to interpret a job description from a handheld device and carry out those tasks in a timely manner
  • The ability to communicate on regular basis with team leaders and planners to ensure work is carried out and completed to the highest possible standard
    Must have a full valid, clean driving license
