Are you an experienced plasterer? At Lincolnshire Housing Partnership (LHP), our vision is to create places to be proud of, and our mission is simple: the basics done well. If you’re passionate about delivering quality work that truly impacts lives, we’d love to hear from you.

We're seeking a skilled tradesperson with strong plastering expertise and proven experience working in domestic properties.

As a Plastering Operative, you will be responsible for undertaking plastering and associated repairs to our customers’ homes as part of our in-house repairs and empty homes service. You will ensure all repairs and required inspections are delivered right first time, safely, are in line with our repairs policy and within our budget parameters.

You will work to our service targets both in terms of service productivity, policy and customer satisfaction. The role is defined as being mobile under our agile working policy, therefore you will work from wherever it is required, in our customers' homes or on our estates or schemes. Undertaking inspection, repairs and maintenance works as required to our customers' homes (whether occupied or void) and to our schemes, estates, and other property assets as required as part of the in-house repairs service, safely in accordance with the policies and procedures of LHP and the operational and commercial targets set whilst putting the customer first.

If a follow-on repair is required, you will ensure that unless not possible, the customer is given an appointment for the follow-on works before you leave the property and that this is confirmed in your diary or another engineer’s or contractor’s diary as appropriate.

  • Strong experience in Plastering is essential
  • Experience in other trades is highly desirable, such as bricklaying, tiling, painting and decorating, plumbing, carpentry, glazing, roofing, drainage and external works
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the repairs of domestic properties
  • An awareness of health and safety considerations within a domestic property (i.e. Asbestos, working around customers, working at heights & electrics)
  • Must have a full valid, clean driving license

We’re a local housing association rooted in the Grimsby and Boston communities. Many of our colleagues live in the same areas we serve, giving us a shared purpose to improve lives.

Career progression routes to Team Leader or Manager roles

  • Training opportunities (e.g., Westfield Health package worth £1,200 annually)
  • Up to 12% employer pension contribution
  • 24 days holiday + bank holidays, with extra days for full attendance
  • Mental Health First Aiders across the business
  • Company vehicle, uniform, and tools

To apply, simply attach your up-to-date CV, a brief list of trades you’re experienced in, or a link to your website or social media page showcasing your work and recommendations. As part of the interview process, you’ll be invited to a first-stage informal chat. This will take place at our Grimsby Office. At Lincolnshire Housing Partnership, we’re committed to maintaining a fair, transparent, and accessible recruitment process. All offers of employment are subject to a DBS Check and satisfactory references.
