We’re currently looking for multiple Multi-Skilled Plumbers/Joiners to join our team in Grimsby. As part of our in-house team, you’ll carry out plumbing repairs and maintenance in customers’ homes, along with other minor works across various trades. Your broad skillset will help us complete jobs efficiently—often in a single visit—providing a better experience for our residents.

What will a typical week look like for a Multi-skilled Plumber/Joiner at LHP?
- Start the week right by checking and topping up your van stock—making sure you’ve got all the gear you need so you’re not wasting time running to suppliers.
- Get stuck into a diverse range of jobs—everything from replacing taps and fixing leaks to installing new kitchen sinks or bathroom fittings. You'll also be asked to reseal windows and doors and make homes safe and secure.
- Attend scheduled appointments in tenants’ homes, working alongside other trades to sort out minor repairs, from a dodgy door to patching up plaster or sorting out a loose radiator.
- Keep it clean and safe—you’ll use PPE, dust sheets, and overshoes to protect the property and show respect to the customer.
- Stay in touch—you’ll update planners and team leaders using our housing system, keeping records straight and customers in the loop.
- Think on your feet—carry out risk assessments on-site and flag anything unsafe straight away.
- Keep an eye out—report anything unusual, like signs of damp, mould, tenancy fraud, or safeguarding concerns.
- Pitch in across the estate—you might help with brickwork, external groundworks, or other maintenance tasks.
- Work on empty properties—doing improvement works like plumbing, joinery, or groundwork to get them ready for new tenants.
- Be part of the emergency rota—responding to urgent repairs out-of-hours to keep our homes safe and running smoothly.
What Skills and Experience will you need as a Multi-skilled Plumber/Joiner?
- Strong experience in Plumbing/Joinery is essential
- Experience in other trades, i.e. plastering, flooring, tiling is highly desirable
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the repairs of domestic properties
- An awareness of health and safety considerations within a domestic property (i.e. Asbestos, working around customers, working at heights & electrics)
- Must have a full valid, clean driving license
