Do you have experience of servicing and repairs of heating systems in a domestic property? Are you looking for a rewarding career with great development opportunities? We're looking for a Gas Engineer to join our Heating Team.
As a Gas Engineer, you will service, repair and maintain domestic gas appliances and system components, specifically boilers, fires and cookers. You'll receive an excellent salary of £41,142.32 plus some great company benefits including van, fuel card, standard tools, PPE and uniform and the ability to earn extra income through the call out rota.

What will I be asked to do as a Gas Engineer?
- To service, repair and maintain gas appliances and system components in domestic properties.
- Competent in all areas of domestic plumbing.
- Ability to use in-house management system and complete paperwork where and when required.
- Take reasonable care of the health and safety of themselves and others who may be affected by their acts or omissions.
- Assist with regular health and safety checks within the place of work.
- Use of power tools within the safety regulations.
- Measure for fittings and listing necessary materials.
- Maintain and replenish vehicle imprest stock, collection and delivery of materials.
- Be prepared to act as a mentor to trainees.
- Obtain, where requested, customer feedback on completion of works.
- Any other duties as deemed necessary by LHP.
What skills, attributes and experience will I need as a Gas Engineer?
Qualifications- Must be gas qualified and have the qualifications below: CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1, HWSS (MET1 Desirable).
- Essential: Appropriate experience in working in the social housing maintenance industry.
- The ability to carry out Landlord Gas Safety Check and input information using an in-house management system.
- The ability to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the skills, technology and safety procedures required to carry out the full range of tasks contained within the job description.
- The ability to understand and interpret work instructions.
- The ability to trace, diagnose and rectify faults.
- The ability to establish and maintain good customer relationships.
- The ability to assist all other trades when required.
- The ability to carry out plumbing emergency repairs.
- Desirable: The ability to communicate on a one-to-one basis and complete work certificates and documentation on a PDA as well as paper when required.
- Experience of oil and commercial boilers.
- Experience in servicing/maintaining air source heating units.
- Experience of servicing/maintaining unvented hot water systems.
- The ability to work with the minimum of supervision or as part of a team.
- An understanding of commercial heating systems and Air Source Heat Pumps.
