Tenancy Coach – Join LHP
We’re looking for someone driven, compassionate, and committed to helping customers regain stability, maintain their homes, and create brighter futures. In this role, you will support tenants in the Tenancy Sustainment Team by providing expertise on Universal Credit, hardship payments, and other local support services.

Responsibilities
- Review and prioritise your caseload to identify customers who need urgent support.
- Empathise with tenants experiencing difficult times and build trusting relationships.
- Conduct home visits or phone calls to explain arrears, offer repayment plans, and provide budgeting advice.
- Assist tenants with setting up bank accounts and making benefit claims.
- Collaborate with external partners, courts, and support agencies.
- Attend Income Team meetings to share ideas, updates, and best practice.
- Maintain detailed case notes and keep customer records up to date.
- Help customers access the right services at the right time.
Qualifications & Experience
- Knowledge of welfare benefits (e.g. Universal Credit, Housing Benefit) and the wider support system.
- Experience managing a caseload of customers.
- Good IT skills and accuracy in record‑keeping.
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
- Resilience and the ability to stay positive through challenges.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience working with partner agencies.
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Experience in income recovery or knowledge of rent arrears processes.
- Experience in helping customers apply for welfare benefits.
- A background in housing or public‑sector customer support.

Working Arrangements
This role is based within our Boston community. You will need to be visible and present with our customers, spending roughly three days a week in our offices or in the community. The remainder of the time can be worked from home, a local coffee shop, or another convenient location.
