Waltham Gateway Academy – Midday Supervisor
Location: Waltham, England.
Hours: 6.25 Hours per Week, 11:45am – 1:00pm, Monday – Friday. Term Time Only – 190 Days.
Salary: £25,550.00 pro rata (Actual Salary £3,429.86). Start in January 2026.
Role Overview
The Academy opened September 2025 for 34 pupils, growing to 210 mainstream pupils (Reception – Year 6). Includes a Rapid Support Programme for up to 12 children with SEMH needs.
The midday supervisor supports students during the school day, ensuring a safe, relational environment, encouraging academic and personal growth, and contributing to pastoral care.
Responsibilities
- Supervise students from 11:45am to 1:00pm, Monday – Friday.
- Hold ambitious expectations for all students, including those with additional, special educational needs, and disabilities.
- Contribute to the development and welfare of all pupils within a relational approach.
- Promote a high standard of behaviour and outcomes in a safe environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience leading or supporting students in a school environment.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection, including DBS disclosure.
- Capability to collaborate with staff on pastoral and academic care.
