Somercotes Academy are seeking to appoint a Technology and Art Technician to cover maternity leave. Somercotes Academy is a successful and high‑achieving academy with an excellent reputation and a varied and effective curriculum to enthuse learners. We strive for excellence for our students within all areas of their lives.
Main Responsibilities
- Maintains working areas
- Prepares apparatus, materials, tools and equipment on site
- Weighs ingredients for food technology
- Prepares materials for technology
- Prepares materials for art
- Drives the Academy Minibus as required
- Supervises the transportation of equipment
- Cleans and maintains surfaces and equipment
- Health and Safety, including acting as a first aider as required
