We are seeking to recruit a versatile Teaching Assistant who will play a key role in supporting students and staff at our Academy. We are looking for someone who believes in inclusion for all students and is able to implement strategies to support children with SEND.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist students, including those with SEN, to maximise access to the curriculum.
- Work under the direction of the teacher in a class based environment using teaching aids and other methods of support.
- Help support and promote the Academy behaviour policy.
- Support pupils in their pastoral development and embed academy values.
- Maintain the smooth running of internal isolation rooms and take direct responsibility for the behaviour and wellbeing of pupils that have not met behaviour expectations.
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful applicant will have experience working with young people and the ability to lead by example. Candidates must be enthusiastic, positive, committed to building strong professional relationships with children and adults, and be motivated, flexible and calm in their approach.
