We are seeking to recruit a versatile Teaching Assistant who will play a key role in supporting students and staff at our primary Academy. We are looking for someone who believes in inclusion for all students and is able to implement strategies to support children with SEND.
Responsibilities will include:
- Working 1:1 to support children with additional needs
- Supporting the class teacher with groups of children or individuals in the classroom
- Working with children to support any social, emotional or behavioural needs
- Assisting students, including those with SEN, to maximise access to the curriculum
- Working under the direction of the teacher in a class-based environment using teaching aides and other methods of support
- Helping support and promote the Academy behaviour policy
Whilst experience is not necessary, you must have a good standard of literacy, be adaptable and willing to be involved in all aspects of school life, have a calm manner and be able to work as part of a team.
