We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic individuals to join us as Senior Finance Technicians within our Financial Services Team at Lincolnshire County Council. The roles will support Adult Care and Community Wellbeing, Place and Schools Finance directorates whilst also providing key corporate and technical finance service to the Council as a whole.

About the role: The Financial Services team provides the accounting service to the Council, encompassing both management and financial accounting functions, as well as VAT and treasury management services. The accounting functions cover both revenue and capital finance and include the major processes of closure of accounts, systems administration, grant administration and statutory returns.

About you: The ideal candidate should have a professional and organised approach to work with good knowledge of financial principles and practices, have suitable experience of working within public sector finance, possess excellent communication and ICT skills (particularly Excel), and hold a relevant accounting qualification (minimum of AAT or equivalent, or above). You will be joining an experienced and dedicated team with multiple priorities and need to work flexibly and be adaptable to change. The role will involve undertaking key financial processes, producing financial data within deadlines and to a high-quality standard within a fast-moving environment. You will also have technical accounting knowledge in order to carry out closure of accounts tasks and to support other team members in such tasks.
