An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Residential Development Solicitor (3 – 10 years' PQE) to join a leading and growing real estate practice within a nationally recognised housebuilding and strategic land team. Based in Leeds, the role offers flexible hybrid working, and an attractive and competitive remuneration and benefits package.
This role offers the chance to work alongside highly regarded Partners on complex, high-value residential development matters, acting for a broad client base including national and regional housebuilders, developers, landowners, promoters, housing associations, investors and public sector bodies.
The Role
- You will advise on the full lifecycle of residential development transactions, including:
- Immediate and strategic land acquisitions
- Option, promotion and hybrid agreements
- Conditional and unconditional contracts
- Affordable housing disposals (including golden brick arrangements)
- Overage, infrastructure and collaboration agreements
- Site assembly and regeneration schemes
- Bulk disposals to RP, PRS and BTR providers
You will also play an active role in supervising junior lawyers, supporting client development initiatives and contributing to the continued growth of the team.
About You
- 3 – 10 years’ PQE with strong residential development experience
- Technically confident across both routine and complex transactions
- Commercially astute with a good understanding of VAT and SDLT considerations
- Client-focused, proactive and keen to play a visible role in a growing practice
