They are seeking a Senior Associate / Managing Associate to join their highly ranked Commercial & Projects team in Leeds.

The opportunity:

  • Play a key role in delivering complex commercial and infrastructure projects for public and private sector clients, including long‑term frameworks such as PFI/PPP arrangements.
  • Advise on operational contract management, variations, refinancing, performance issues, and contract interpretation.
  • Support clients with contract expiry, hand‑back obligations, and future service arrangements in line with relevant guidance.
  • Collaborate across multi‑disciplinary teams, including real estate, construction, finance, corporate, and dispute resolution etc. to deliver integrated client solutions.
  • Manage and develop client relationships, with opportunities to grow your own practice.
  • Support, mentor, and train junior lawyers, and contribute to internal and external learning initiatives.
  • Participate in business development initiatives to help drive the growth of the team.

About you:

  • 5+ years PQE with experience in commercial contracts, infrastructure projects, and/or long‑term complex frameworks such as PFI/PPP.
  • Ability to provide practical and commercial legal advice that is delivery focussed.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team, with an interest in mentoring and supervising more junior lawyers.
  • A proactive and commercial approach to client service and business development.
