They are seeking a Senior Associate / Managing Associate / Legal Director to join their growing Healthcare & Regulatory team in Leeds.
The opportunity
- Advise a broad range of health and social care clients, including NHS bodies, independent providers, charities, and wider public sector organisations.
- Manage a varied caseload spanning both advisory and contentious matters within healthcare and regulatory law.
- Handle inquests, Court of Protection matters, Mental Health Tribunal work, and wider regulatory investigations and challenges.
- Provide clear, pragmatic advice on issues such as consent, capacity, best interests, confidentiality, and patient care processes.
- Represent clients at hearings, including advocacy at inquests, pre-inquest reviews, and tribunals where appropriate.
- Preparing cases through effective client and witness engagement.
- Support, mentor, and train junior lawyers, and contribute to internal and external learning initiatives.
- Participate in business development initiatives to help drive the growth of the team.
About you
- 4+ years PQE with experience in health and social care law.
- A mix of contentious and advisory experience within a public law environment.
- Ability to provide practical and commercial legal advice that is delivery focussed.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team, with an interest in mentoring and supervising more junior lawyers.
- A proactive and commercial approach to client service and business development.
