LC Legal is delighted to be partnering with a forward thinking, well-established regional firm based near Harrogate, on the appointment of an Employment Paralegal to join their growing Employment practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated legal professional seeking high-quality work, meaningful client exposure and a genuine platform for career progression within employment law.

Working alongside experienced employment lawyers, you will play a key role in supporting a broad range of employer clients, gaining exposure to both advisory and contentious matters while developing your own technical expertise and commercial understanding. The team advises businesses of all sizes, from owner-managed companies through to larger organisations, across a variety of sectors.

As part of the role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to complex employment matters, support tribunal proceedings where required and take ownership of suitable matters under supervision.

The role:

  • Assisting solicitors on a wide range of employment law matters, both contentious and non-contentious
  • Supporting employer clients with day-to-day employment and HR-related issues
  • Drafting employment contracts, staff handbooks, workplace policies and procedures
  • Assisting with disciplinary, grievance, performance management and redundancy processes
  • Preparing settlement agreements and associated documentation
  • Supporting Employment Tribunal claims and related case management activities
  • Undertaking legal research and preparing draft correspondence and advice
  • Managing your own caseload of appropriate matters with supervision and guidance
  • Building strong client relationships and delivering practical, commercially focused support
