We are seeking a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Midday Supervisory Assistant to join our friendly school team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive difference to children's lunchtime experience by helping to ensure they are safe, happy and well supported throughout the midday break.
About the Role
As a Midday Supervisory Assistant, you will be responsible for supervising pupils during the lunchtime period, both in the dining hall and around the school site. You will encourage positive behaviour, support children's wellbeing and help create a safe, inclusive and enjoyable environment for all pupils.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising children during lunch and throughout the midday break.
- Monitoring pupils in dining areas, playgrounds, classrooms, corridors, cloakrooms and toilets as required.
- Supporting the serving and distribution of meals and drinks.
- Assisting with setting up and clearing dining areas where required.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and safe play.
- Escorting children between areas of the school when necessary.
- Helping to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming lunchtime environment.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Enjoys working with children.
- Is patient, caring and approachable.
- Has good communication and teamwork skills.
- Can remain calm and professional in a busy environment.
- Is reliable and committed to supporting children's wellbeing.
- Has experience of interacting positively with children (desirable but not essential).
No formal qualifications are required, although previous experience working with children would be an advantage.
