Higher Level Teaching Assistants 2x 12 hours per week (days/hours to be discussed at interview) G6 (Point 15 - 18) £30,024– £32,597pa pro rata. Actual salary £9,508 - £10,323pa. Start date: September 2026 (1 year temporary contract subject to needs of the schools).

We are seeking to appoint HLTAs to work at our small rural schools on the outskirts of Louth in North Cockerington and Legbourne. Are you a confident and creative Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking to work in a happy, caring and aspirational environment? We are looking for an inspirational HLTA to join our hard-working and dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have experience of working across KS1 and KS2 and will be able to provide PPA cover in classes across these key stages.

The successful candidate will be a passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant who:

  • Has knowledge of the whole primary curriculum.
  • Is committed to meeting all the children’s needs and enthusiastic about promoting a vibrant curriculum.
  • Has high expectations, encouraging children to be independent learners.
  • Can use their initiative, is efficient and well organised and has skills and talents to improve the learning of children.
  • Has a caring and positive attitude.
  • Has excellent communication skills and is approachable for all children and staff.
  • Is keen to promote the school’s values and be an integral part of our school community.
  • Can evidence the HLTA standards through qualifications or experience.
  • Has numeracy & literacy skills equivalent to NVQ 2 in Maths and English.
