In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post. Key Responsibilities:- Plan and teach KS3/KS4 English effectively and creatively across the age and ability range.
- Ensure students are assessed in line with department and school policy and to use assessment to inform student learning.
- Report to parents on student progress as required by school policy.
- Attend and contribute to English department meetings.
- Follow departmental schemes of work and where appropriate, contribute to their development.
- Promote English in the school and contribute to enrichment and extra-curricular activities.
- Support student learning through regular target setting.
- To keep up to date with current thinking and new initiatives regarding English Teaching.
- A permanent full-time role of 1.0 FTE. Our Trust welcomes flexible working discussions.
