The Marton Academy is a thriving and successful small primary school that secured ‘Strong Standard’ in all areas during our most recent Ofsted inspection. Our ethos is: ‘Inspirational learning in a safe emotional space’. Due to the sustained increase in pupil numbers and the growing reputation of the school, The Marton Academy is looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring Teaching Assistant to join the team, working primarily with a mixed Year 3&4 class. This post is initially advertised for one year due to larger than usual cohorts moving through the school.

The Trustees of The Marton Academy are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and applicants will undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers. The role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS certificate, the role is engaged in regulated activity and will therefore require a children’s barred list check. Shortlisted applicants will be required to complete a self-disclosure.
Fluency Duty
In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
