We are looking for a committed team member to join our happy and dedicated school family to provide caretaking duties at the end of the school day. It is the responsibility of the school caretaker/cleaner to maintain and secure the school premises, ensuring a safe, clean and functional environment for pupils, staff and visitors. The role includes all in-school cleaning, building maintenance and supervision of external contractors.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- a high standard of hygiene
- good organisational skills, e.g. ordering equipment and products
- a knowledge of intruder alarms and heating systems
- a good knowledge of health and safety matters
- an understanding of safe working methods in accordance with COSHH assessments
- the ability to work successfully in a team with other staff
