An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Trust for a Family Support Worker, based at Boston Pioneers Academy. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils and their families, helping to remove barriers to learning, improve attendance, and promote positive outcomes for our children.
Job Description:
- Build positive and supportive relationships with pupils and their families.
- Work with families to identify needs and provide appropriate advice, guidance and support.
- Support initiatives to improve pupil attendance, punctuality and engagement.
- Undertake home visits where appropriate and in line with school procedures.
- Act as a key point of contact between home and school.
- Work collaboratively with external agencies and professionals to coordinate support for children and families.
- Provide early help and signposting to relevant services.
- Maintain accurate records and case notes, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with GDPR requirements.
- Support safeguarding processes and contribute to the wellbeing and protection of pupils.
- Assist the school in promoting positive behaviour, wellbeing and inclusion.
Essential:
- Minimum Grade 4 GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
Desired:
- Previous experience in a Family Support Worker role within an educational environment.
This role is permanent, 37 hours per week on a term time only basis. Early applications are encouraged. We reserve the right to interview and appoint before the advertised closing date.
