Lincoln Security is recruiting an experienced Door Automation & Access Control Engineer to join our engineering team. This role would suit someone with experience in automatic doors, access control or both. You will install, service, maintain and repair systems across a range of customer sites, mainly throughout Lincolnshire with occasional travel further afield. If your experience is stronger in either door automation or access control, but not both, we would still encourage you to apply. Additional training can be provided to the right candidate.
Your experience
- Installing and maintaining automatic door systems, including Record, Geze and Label
- Access control and intercom systems, including Paxton, Intratone, Videx and PAC
- Troubleshooting, fault finding, repairs and system diagnostics
- Basic electrical work and low-voltage systems
- Working independently on customer sites
- Communicating clearly and professionally with customers and colleagues
Experience within the security installation sector would be an advantage. Relevant qualifications or certifications in door automation, access control or a related field would also be beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Install, service and maintain automatic door systems
- Install, service and maintain access control and intercom systems
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently
- Carry out planned maintenance and inspection visits
- Complete testing and compliance checks where required
- Communicate clearly with customers and the wider Lincoln Security team
- Work independently and take responsibility for work completed on site
- Take part in the out of hours engineer rota, approximately one week in seven
- Travel outside Lincolnshire when required, including occasional overnight stays
What we are looking for
You should have a professional and friendly approach, with a positive attitude towards solving problems and helping customers. You will need to be comfortable working independently and managing your workload while maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer service. A full UK driving licence is essential. The successful candidate will also be required to complete a full DBS background check.
