The Assistant/Associate Director of Career Services for the DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (DCOM) at Lincoln Memorial University is responsible for monitoring student progress and counselling students at DCOM on requirements for graduate medical education placement. The Assistant/Associate Director of Career Services will also be responsible for assisting the Director of Career Services and Graduate Medical Education with the annual submission of the Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE) to the appropriate residency application service and assist in serving as point of contact for Careers in Medicine (CiM), Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS), the Residency Matches, and Supplemental Offer and Acceptance Program (SOAP) for all osteopathic medical students.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 2-3 years experience in an academic setting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree preferred
- Experience in working with professional students and/or in an academic healthcare setting
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Public speaking/presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and with individuals from diverse backgrounds
