We are seeking a proactive and student-focused Student Employment Officer to join our Careers and Employability team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in helping students access part‑time employment, gain valuable workplace experience, and develop the skills and confidence needed for future career success.

Working closely with Careers Advisers, Placement Officers and other colleagues across the University, you will provide one‑to‑one support to students seeking part‑time work, offering guidance on CVs, applications, and job searching. You will also support key Access and Participation initiatives, including the Opportunity Fund, mentoring activities and workshops designed to enhance student progression and employability.

The role includes maintaining part‑time job opportunities, supporting student engagement activities, coordinating focus groups, reviewing Opportunity Fund applications, providing front‑facing triage support on reception and building strong working relationships with colleagues across the University. You will play an important role in ensuring that students—particularly those from under‑represented groups—can access opportunities that help them succeed during and beyond their studies.

We are looking for someone with excellent organisational and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering outstanding student support.

In support of our commitment to developing colleagues by providing opportunities for internal movement and promotion, applications for this opportunity will only be accepted from people who are currently employed by the University of Lincoln, our current students, and any currently engaged agency workers who have been with us for more than 12 weeks. We actively encourage applications from all colleagues across the University with the relevant skills and experience.
