Lincoln Cornhill is proud to be working with a Council based in the Southeast to source a permanent Head of Housing. The role offers a £5,000 retention bonus after a successful six months service, followed by an additional £5,000 at 12 months.
Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for all legislative and regulatory aspects of the Council’s housing services, including housing landlord services, housing needs & homelessness, private sector housing & housing standards, allocations/lettings and resident engagement and customer experience.
- Deliver high-quality, safe and resident-focused housing services.
- Lead the successful delivery of the Housing Transformation Programme.
- Ensure financial sustainability of the HRA.
- Strengthen partnerships to address housing need across the organisation.
- Provide expert advice to Members and senior leaders on housing strategy, policy and emerging issues.
- Lead continuous improvement, embedding a high-performance, learning and outcome-focused culture.
Requirements:
- Relevant housing qualification, CIH Level 4 or above or equivalent.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
- Significant experience in social housing within a Local Authority or Registered Provider.
- Experience aligning services to regulatory requirements, including Consumer Standards.
- Strong understanding of social housing legislation, regulation and Consumer Standards, including Housing Ombudsman Complaint Handling Code, Consumer Standards April 2024 and Damp, mould and building safety responsibilities.
