Lincoln Cornhill is proud to be working with a District Council based in the South East to source an interim Head of Property Services on an interim contract for 6-12 months. You will be required on site three days per week.
The candidate will provide strategic leadership for the Council’s housing asset and property services, ensuring homes are safe, compliant and well-maintained, and that investment delivers long-term value.
The range of function which are covered include:
- Lead improvements across asset management, repairs, maintenance and compliance, ensuring full alignment with regulatory standards and contributing to improved regulatory outcomes
- Drive excellence in contract management and procurement, ensuring services are efficient, high quality and deliver value for money
- Drive a culture of zero harm and ensure tenant safety is the priority consideration of all work programmes undertaken by internal and external contractors
- Lead development and delivery of a comprehensive asset management strategy
- Ensure effective long-term planning of investment in housing stock
- Provide strategic oversight of stock condition, sustainability and performance
- Work closely with the Head of Housing and Programme Director to deliver joined-up improvement
- Build effective relationships with contractors, suppliers and partners
Experience and skills required:
- Degree or equivalent experience in property, construction, housing or related field
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g. RICS, CIOB, NEBOSH)
- Significant senior experience in housing asset management, repairs and compliance
- Proven track record of improving property services performance and compliance
- Experience of managing large-scale contracts and procurement
- Strong knowledge of housing asset management and building safety compliance
- Understanding of regulatory requirements, including Consumer Standards
