The Old Bakery, Lincoln

Salary and Hours: Variety of shifts available.

We are looking for enthusiastic and self-motivated Venue Support Staff to work across our venues at The Drill and The Old Bakery. The Drill is a live music and events venue situated in the heart of Lincoln City Centre. In 2021 Lincoln College took over the building and runs it as a not-for-profit venue hosting live gigs and community events. The Old Bakery is the only not-for-profit restaurant in the region and is owned and operated by Lincoln College. We provide technical qualifications and training for thousands of school leavers and adults each year. With no private owner or shareholders, all profits are reinvested into our colleges in Lincoln and Newark, enhancing education and training opportunities.

The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work across both sites, ensuring excellent customer service at all times. Duties will include:

  • Providing support on Bars and Box Office
  • Supporting the wider events team on corporate dinners and with event set ups
  • Welcoming and serving customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Supporting the smooth day to day running of both venues
  • Adherence to food safety regulations and maintain a high level of cleanliness within the venues.

We would welcome applications from those who have previous relevant experience in the hospitality industry; in particular, bar and front of house experience would be highly advantageous. However, this is not essential as training is offered. Additionally, being able to demonstrate initiative, organisational skills, attention to detail and a flexible approach to the needs of the business will be highly advantageous.

Please note this is not a full-time position so a degree of flexibility will be required.

To apply for this role, please email your CV to us.

What we can offer you:

  • Holiday pay and NEST pension scheme
  • Access to a dedicated recruitment coordinator to help with the registration process and provide continued support whilst you are engaged with us
  • Full compliance with AWR (Agency Worker's Regulations), to make sure you get the pay and working conditions you are entitled to.
  • Career development opportunities within the Lincoln College Group
  • Perks via our You Matter platform - Perks of the job: Lincoln College
  • A relaxed dress code on Fridays and during non-term time
  • A dedicated calendar of wellbeing events

About us: FE Resources are proud to be owned and run by the Lincoln College Group. We work to provide the College with temporary staffing solutions in Lecturer/Assessor and Support Worker positions.
