Lincoln City Foundation is seeking a passionate and motivated Sports Tutor to join our Education & Employability team. Using the platform and reputation of Lincoln City Football Club, you will deliver high‑quality Post‑16 education programmes, including BTEC and vocational pathways, supporting young people to achieve and progress into further/higher education or employment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, engaging and high‑quality sessions based on programme curriculum.
- Plan, deliver and evaluate both classroom and virtual learning.
- Support learner progress, wellbeing, resilience and academic achievement.
- Lead on session administration, assessment and maintenance of accurate records.
- Build strong relationships with learners, parents, staff and external partners.
- Contribute to recruitment and retention of learners.
- Monitor and report on learner progress using required systems.
- Attend training, CPD, meetings and stay updated with sector developments.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Degree‑level qualification or BTEC/NVQ Level 3/A Levels.
- PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification (or working towards).
- Experience delivering BTEC, vocational or employability curriculum.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Experience supporting young people in an educational setting.
- Understanding of teaching methods and the Education Inspection Framework.
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain).
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Desirable:
- NGB Level 2 coaching qualification or Level 3 personal training/exercise referral.
- Safeguarding and Emergency First Aid certificates.
- Experience designing programmes or verifying student work.
