The Role: We are looking for an energetic and delivery-focused Afterschool & Holiday Club Lead to coordinate and lead our childcare and activity programmes. You will play a key role delivering:
- Football Evolution player development sessions
- Active Explorers holiday childcare provision
- Afterschool Clubs
- Kellogg’s Football Camps
This is a hands-on role where you will create safe, engaging environments for early years and primary-aged children across multiple community venues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Programme Delivery & Leadership: Lead the end-to-end delivery of afterschool and holiday club provision, deliver structured football and activity programmes across sites, set high standards for behaviour, engagement and session quality, coordinate a balance of sport, play and enrichment activities.
- Safeguarding & Compliance: Ensure all provision meets Ofsted requirements, act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (or deputy when required), oversee risk assessments and health & safety compliance, maintain operational and regulatory standards across sessions.
- Child Development: Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities, create inclusive environments supporting social, emotional and physical development, adapt sessions to support children with SEND.
- Staff Management & Quality Assurance: Supervise and develop sessional staff, ensure high-quality, consistent delivery, provide feedback and support continuous improvement.
- Operations & Administration: Manage registers, bookings, attendance and reporting, liaise with parents, schools and community partners, support marketing and participant recruitment.
Person Specification:
- Essential: Experience working with early years or primary-aged children, strong understanding of Ofsted requirements for afterschool/holiday settings, experience leading or coordinating childcare, education or sports programmes, safeguarding knowledge (qualification preferred), ability to lead teams and deliver high-quality sessions, excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Desirable: FA coaching qualification or equivalent, Paediatric First Aid, experience delivering football-based programmes, experience working in a charity or community setting.
