As part of our Education & Employability team, you will play a vital role in delivering high‑quality Post‑16 programmes that encourage positive learning experiences, personal development, and progression into further education, higher education, or employment.

As a Sports Tutor, you will:

  • Deliver safe, engaging, and high‑quality teaching sessions aligned to programme curriculum.
  • Support learner progression academically, socially and emotionally.
  • Plan, deliver and evaluate both in‑person and virtual learning sessions.
  • Lead on the development and delivery of educational content and manage the associated administration.
  • Build strong relationships with learners, parents, external partners and key stakeholders.
  • Monitor learner welfare, resilience, and mental wellbeing.
  • Contribute to recruitment strategies to attract and retain learners.
  • Represent the Foundation in meetings, conferences and CPD opportunities.

You will join a team committed to creating alternative, industry‑relevant pathways using sport, enterprise and education as powerful tools for engagement and success.

We’re seeking an enthusiastic, adaptable, and motivated individual who is passionate about education, sport, and supporting young people to achieve their potential.

Skills and experience:

  • Experience delivering vocational, employability or BTEC curriculum programmes.
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Ability to plan, organise and deliver high‑quality sessions.
  • Experience recruiting and supporting young people on educational programmes.
  • Understanding of current teaching methods and the Education Inspection Framework.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and high professional standards.

Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent), or BTEC/NVQ Level 3/A‑Level background.
  • PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification (or working towards).

Additional desirable criteria:

  • NGB Level 2 Coaching Certificate or Level 3 Fitness/Exercise qualification.
  • Relevant teaching qualification (CTTLS/QTS/QTLS).
  • Safeguarding and Emergency First Aid Certificates.
  • Internal verification experience.
