Lincoln City Football Club Academy and Lincoln City Foundation are looking for enthusiastic, skilled football coaches to work on our Elite Development Pathway, working with our Talent Hub programmes. The Elite Development Pathway Talent Hubs look to support the technical, physical, psychological and social development of children aged 6-8 years old, aiming to identify potential and support development.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Adapt skeleton sessions to fit the needs of the group to provide the most appropriate level of challenge.
  • Effectively set-up sessions ahead of participant arrival in a way that minimises equipment movement during sessions to keep ball rolling time high.
  • Lead on the delivery of an engaging and enjoyable session to support footballing and holistic development of the children.
  • Support the technical, physical, social and psychological development of all participants within the programme.
  • Create a safe and inclusive environment to allow all participants to develop.
  • Provide feedback to the Talent Hub zone lead and head of academy recruitment & pathways to help formulate individual learning plans for all participants.
  • Review sessions and share feedback with the head of academy recruitment & player pathways regarding player development.
  • Work with the head of academy recruitment & player pathways and the head of coaching to continually develop as a coach.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualities & Qualifications

Essential

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Confident working with children aged 6-8 years old.
  • UEFA C licence in coaching or working towards.
  • FA first aid qualification.
  • FA safeguarding qualification.
  • Able to follow the Elite Development Pathway methodology and way of working.
  • Willingness to learn and committed to own development as a coach.

Desirable

  • Experience of working with children aged 6-8 years old in a sport or education environment.
  • Understanding of learning pedagogy.
  • Experience of working in an Academy, Centre of Excellence or Player Development Centre.
